Why Hire Steinly Adjusting for Restoration or Public Adjusting?
After a serious property loss, you're suddenly expected to understand an insurance policy, document damaged property, communicate with adjusters and contractors, review estimates, track expenses, and make decisions that can affect your claim—all while trying to get your life back together.
Steinly Adjusting represents the policyholder.
Mr. Steinly brings approximately 40 years of experience working with property damage, restoration, construction, insurance losses, and claims. That experience allows us to look beyond a single estimate and understand how the pieces of a property claim fit together.
Our job is to help document the loss, understand your policy and available coverages, organize the claim, communicate regarding the claim, review estimates and documentation, and advocate for your interests throughout the process.
You have enough to deal with after a major loss. You don't have to become an insurance-claims expert overnight.
Hire Steinly Adjusting and put experience on your side.

I've Had a Major Property Loss. What Do I Do Next?
Take care of yourself and your family first. The claim comes second.
Make sure everyone is safe and that anyone who is injured receives the care they need. Then deal with the immediate necessities: a safe place to stay, medications, clothing, food, toiletries, pets, transportation, identification, chargers, and the things your family will need during the first several days.
Do not enter a damaged property until the appropriate authorities say it is safe.
Call us to help secure your structure, get organized, and let us care for you and your home. We offer services including board-ups, clean-ups, dry-outs, securing the property, and even remodeling. Or you can hire us to handle the adjusting for you. Either way, you’ll receive outstanding representation along with the best estimates and care in the industry.
Once the immediate situation is under control, begin documenting the loss. Photographs, video, receipts, damaged belongings, temporary living expenses and other records can become important as the claim develops.
And don't feel pressured to determine the complete value of your loss immediately. Major property losses often take time to properly inspect, document and understand.
Steinly Adjusting can become involved from the beginning—helping you get organized, understand what comes next, document the loss and navigate the insurance claim.

Who Is Looking Out for Me During an Insurance Claim?
There can be a lot of people involved after a loss: insurance adjusters, contractors, restoration companies, engineers, consultants and other professionals.
They don't all have the same job.
An insurance company's adjuster handles the claim on behalf of the insurer. Contractors and restoration companies are generally hired to perform specific work. A public adjuster is retained by the policyholder to represent the policyholder's interests in the insurance claim.
That distinction matters.
Steinly Adjusting works with you to understand the loss, document the claim, review estimates and other claim information, communicate regarding disputed or unresolved issues, and help you understand where your claim stands.
You should still ask questions, read documents before signing them and understand who each person involved in your claim represents.
If you want an experienced professional representing your interests in the claim, hire Steinly Adjusting.

How Long Will My Insurance Claim Take From Start to Finish?
There isn't an honest one-size-fits-all answer.
A smaller, straightforward loss may move relatively quickly. A major fire, extensive water loss or complicated property claim can take considerably longer.
The timeline can depend on the extent of the damage, inspections, documentation, temporary repairs, contractor scopes and estimates, contents inventories, additional living expenses, coverage questions, supplements, disagreements over the amount of loss, appraisal, and how quickly the parties involved respond.
Be careful with anyone who guarantees that a complicated claim will be completely resolved by a particular date.
What Steinly Adjusting can do is help keep the claim organized, identify what needs attention, document unresolved issues and continue moving the process forward.
Our objective isn't simply to make the claim move fast. It's to help move it forward without sacrificing proper documentation just for the sake of speed.
Hire Steinly Adjusting and let us help manage the process from beginning to end.
Should I Send My Insurance Company a Contractor's Estimate?
Don't rush to submit an estimate simply because someone asks, “How much is this going to cost?”
Around here, we jokingly call this the insurance-claim version of your Miranda rights: understand what you're providing before you provide it.
An early contractor estimate may be incomplete. Hidden damage may not have been discovered. Building-code requirements may not have been evaluated. Materials, quantities or necessary repair procedures may be missing.
A contractor may also be preparing an estimate for construction purposes rather than documenting the complete scope and value of an insured property loss.
And if a disagreement eventually proceeds to appraisal or another dispute-resolution process, estimates and other documentation developed during the claim can become important.
This doesn't mean you should ignore legitimate requests from your insurance company or obligations under your insurance policy.
It means don't casually create or submit an estimate without understanding what it contains and how it may affect your claim.
Once something has been submitted, you can't simply pretend it never existed.
Before submitting an estimate or making important decisions concerning the value of your loss, hire Steinly Adjusting and let us help you understand what you're dealing with.
Talk to Mr. Steinly BEFORE you send that estimate.
